Jingles for the Holidays

December 6, 2007

Planes, trains and automobiles… These days we want to listen to music no matter where we are. From 24/7 Christmas music to your favorite mp3 jams. We download, store and play music while doing an array of other things.

You know. 50 years ago people were sitting around their radios listening to the nightly radio shows, and 20 years ago when guys carried boom box on their shoulders… but now people carry around 1000s of songs in their pocket. It’s amazing where music is going.

I remember I used to listen to records on a record player. My kids have no idea what a vinyl is. Now I can listen to music beamed from a satellite directly into my ears with a click of a button?

Not only can you download mp3s to your phone, now you can listen to satellite radio through your cell phone too. Check out how Streaming XM works shown here on the BB Curve.

If you haven’t quite mastered putting music on your phone, you might ask yourself do I still have to carry around an ipod and my cell phone?

Nope not anymore, it’s crazy how we are simplifying technology down to one device . Talk about a phone that is a great mp3 player, Blackjack 2 is sleek and totally easy to carry around. It has Stereo Bluetooth, Widows media player for music and videos and also works with the “old school” wired headphones.

But what happens if I get a call on my cell phone while I’m playing music? With products like the Nokia Bluetooth system, the speakers act as a hands-free speakerphone and can be used to manage your calls. These speakers are also portable and offer great stereo sound. When using batteries, you get up to 30 hours of play time with this.
Nokia’s Audio Gateway basically allows you to use your home stereo system to listen to music stored in your phone, computer or MP3 player. You can also listen to music from your home stereo using a compatible wireless stereo headset.
